Going the Distance to Capture Your Story: Johannah & Brayden’s Heartfelt Family Farm Wedding

Our latest wedding photography adventure brought us home to Kokomo, Indiana, for Johannah and Brayden’s deeply personal celebration on Brayden’s family farm. On a beautiful late May weekend, we had the privilege of documenting a love story rooted in family, tradition, and new beginnings.

An Indiana Farm Wedding Full of Meaning

Johannah and Brayden’s wedding was the perfect blend of rustic charm and heartfelt details. The ceremony took place behind the family barns, where loved ones gathered on wooden pews and chairs brought in just for the occasion. Every detail was infused with the couple’s story, from the rural setting to the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

A Unity Tree Ceremony with Deep Roots

One of the most touching moments was the unity tree ceremony. Johannah and Brayden combined soil from their childhood homes to plant a tree together—a living symbol of their unity and the life they’re building. This special tree will soon be planted in the yard of their newly renovated farmhouse, serving as a daily reminder of the vows they made and the families they joined.

Farmhouse Bridal Suite: A Place to Begin Their Story

The day began in the farmhouse, where Johannah and her bridesmaids got ready. This wasn’t just any bridal suite—the couple is lovingly renovating this home and will start their married life there. The farmhouse setting added another layer of meaning, making every moment feel even more personal and real.
